I joined Deerhound Club in 1984 having carefully
treasured a picture of a Deerhound for years out of a lurcher
book telling everyone who'd listen that one day my dream of
owning a Deerhound would come true.
Having owned deerhound x lurchers for years
it was at a country fair I was approached by a couple of club
members who spotted my club badge. This led me to my first Deerhound
“Bonnie” a rescue bitch, who fulfilled all my dreams
and planted the seeds of the love affair with the breed. My
first puppy was Pharcourse Cellan who hated the show ring. Over
the last 20 years many hounds and puppies have graced my home,
its been a fantastic life and I'm still searching for the perfect
Deerhound, and to help and support people new to the breed.
