Body

Standard says Body and general formation that of a greyhound of larger size and bone. Chest deep rather than broad mpt too narrow and flat sided, Loin well arched and drooping to tail. Flat topline undesirable.

We feel the topline of the Deerhound one of the most important part of the shape, it allows the hound to gain great speed up a hill.

Correct topline showing rise over loin and droopping to the tail

incorrect - level topline

This topline is incorrect as the rise is too far back and the topline dips behind the shoulders.

another correct topline - all curves but no exagerations and falling into good quarters.
