Hi Glenis, We just came back from the western highlands, where we discovered to our horror that a wild stag had taken to wandering around the village randomly, and even sat in our cottage garden. Dirk was intrigued, but really just wanted to play! The stag I have to say, did not seem remotely worried about Dirk's presence!! Thought you might be amused by these photos!! Sarah

Kindly sent to us by Lou and John Lidderdale who are now in
Scotland with their deerhound Pinglehol Reiver - This picture
was taken on Blakeney beach in Norfolk and is Neroche Ferryman
who had found a girl friend. She had been rescued, along with
a number of other assorted scruffy mutts, by Lisa Goddard. The
picture was taken by her film director husband David Cobham
(of Tarka fame) They tell us he actually shot an episode of
a programme for winkles called ‘Woof’ in their garden
at Gonalston. Nice one Lou.

I want
to thank you for allowing me to share in the joy of living with
such a loving ,loyal and majestic soul. His passing has left a
gaping hole that is going to take some time to get over. he was
loved by all that knew him and to say he will be missed is the
understatement of the year.I attach a photo that shows him as
the gentle giant that he was. Many thanks again the memories will
stay forever.
